ANA-Michigan Call for 2025 Committees Now Open!

We are excited to announce the 2025 Call for Committees is now open from October 7 - 25, 2024. This is a great opportunity for members to step into leadership roles and contribute to the future of nursing in Michigan. Those appointed will begin their term early next year.

Based on the ANA-Michigan Bylaws that were amended in April 2024, there are 28 openings across five committees. To explore the roles, responsibilities, term lengths, and attendance policies for each committee, please see the links below.

The Nominations Committee will review all submissions in November and provide their recommendations to the Board of Directors. Final committee appointments will be made at the Board’s November meeting. Our goal is to notify all new committee members of their appointments in December.

Due to the recent Bylaws amendments, some members will be appointed for a one-year term and some for a two-year term as indicated below.

• 1 one-year term and 6 two-year terms

Engagement/Attendance Policy:

The Board of Directors takes committee engagement very seriously and values the input of every member serving on a committee. To that end, attendance is monitored regularly to ensure that all committee members are making their best effort to attend all committee meetings. Please be aware that two consecutive unexcused absences from committee meetings shall constitute an automatic resignation, per the ANA-MI Bylaws.

Per the ANA-MI Amended Bylaws on April 29, 2024, the Advocacy Committee will replace the existing Nursing & Health Policy Committee and Legislative Committee. Please note, all current committee members who wish to serve on the Advocacy Committee must submit a consent to serve.
