Policy Platforms 

ANA-Michigan shall take public positions on legislation and health policy proposals, and recommend actions based on the following Platform and process. ANA-Michigan position statements articulate the Association’s stand on health care policy proposals of importance to its membership and the public it serves. Positions are generated in response to trends and best practices in healthcare and health policy related to current and emerging issues that impact the health of the citizens of Michigan, their access to care, standards and excellence in nursing practice, and the profession of nursing.

All proposed policy positions are first bench-marked to the ANA-Michigan Mission, Vision and Strategic Values. The criteria below are also applied to the analysis and recommendation of policy positions to the Board of Directors.
