Call for Committees – Round Two: Take an Active Role in the Association!

As we kick off the new year, ANA-Michigan is looking to fill a few more positions on a handful of committees. Put your experience and expertise to great use by filling out a Consent to Serve today!

The following committees currently have openings:

Bylaws Committee
(2 openings)

• Term begins in March 2023, following the Annual Conference.

• This committee is responsible for reviewing and implementing any proposed changes to the bylaws. They meet if there is a need to do so.

Education Committee
(2 openings)

• Term begins in March 2023, following the Annual Conference.
• This committee is focused on creating educational and fun programming for the Annual Conference. They meet monthly.

Finance Committee
(2 openings)

• Term begins in January 2023.
• This committee is focused on ensuring that the finances related to ANA-Michigan are accurate and in good standing. They review the end of year financial statements and budget before sending to the board for consideration and approval. They meet two or three times a year.

Nursing & Health Policy Committee
(1 OPENING)

• Term begins in January 2023.

• This committee is focused on developing nursing and health policy initiatives related to ANA-Michigan's policy platform. The committee also monitors, analyzes and addresses nursing, health care regulatory and public health policy issues in collaboration with other nursing, regulatory and public health organizations.

Nursing Practice Committee
(2 OPENINGS)

• Term begins in January 2023.
• This committee identifies and addresses nursing practice issues in Michigan. They collaborate with related nursing organizations that have specific clinical expertise in developing initiatives. The committee also brings focus to the health and safety of nurses in all practice settings, as well as develops programs that broadly address the personal health and well-being of nurses.

Legislative Committee
(4 openings)

• Term begins in January 2023.
• This committee is responsible for tracking and evaluating legislation of importance to ANA-Michigan. They review and make recommendations on various pieces of legislation as required. They meet monthly.
